VP of Community Service

Alanna Hall

alannaeh@sas.upenn.edu

Alanna Hall, class of 2010, is in the college and majoring in Communications with a minor in Consumer Psychology. She was born in and grew up in Brooklyn, New York but went to Boarding School in Boston. She is a hardcore Yankees fan who loves swimming, snowboarding, cooking and debating about nonsensical topics. Her favorite things to do are watch Indie films in NYC, walk around the city and people watch and Law and Order SVU Marathons.

At Penn she is involved in the Undergraduate Communications Society, College Representative on Class Board, and the Greater Philadelphia Student Film Festival. Unfortunately, she also admits to having a weakness for Grey's Anatomy.

Joey Volpe

MyLife

Joey, Class of 2009, is an outstanding lad. He hails from Los Angeles and hopes to return upon graduating. Concentrating in Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Media and Entertainment, he plans to work in the entertainment industry (specifically television) at one of the big three networks or as an entrepreneur. Joey enjoys short walks on the beach, traveling to new places, snowboarding, tennis, exploring restaurants, and the myriad of random activities and interests listed on his facebook profile (http://upenn.facebook.com/profile.php?id=618183). He is (used to be) proficient in Spanish and is learning Chinese in order to attend the Beijing Olympic Games this summer. Joey has been with MUSE for a few years now and was the Director of Event Logistics in the Networking and Social Events Committee. Yehaw. (His favorite show was Heroes until they messed up the storyline in season two; now he looks forward to the summer return of The Mole).

VP of Professional Development

Linda Cheung

chelinda@wharton.upenn.edu

MyLife

Linda, Class of 2009, is concentrating in Marketing and minoring in Chinese and Anthropology. A lonely nomad scouring the world for some food, shelter, and love, Linda loves outer space, ancient civilizations, religion vs. science debate, television, singing, fashion & makeup.

Linda has many aspirations including to be a Pop/rock star, become CMO of a fashion or cosmetics corporation, and become an awesomely successful entrepreneur and open her own Chinese restaurant in New York Time Square or a revolutionary amusement park, get married, have a 4 month world cruise tour honeymoon, have children, be happy. On her honeymoon cruise she would like to be able to swim with the dolphins and ride on the manta rays - would be like flying in the ocean. She loves to sing and her dream is to make it to American Idol's top 12.

VP of Internal Relations

Jesse Beyroutey

bjesse@wharton.upenn.edu

Jesse, class of 2011, hails from the ambiguous "central" region of the dirty Jerz. A closet M&T student, he's a systems engineering major, and a dual-concentrator in sloth and greed at Wharton. In addition to MUSE, he is fundraising chair for PIBV and a member of the Mask & Wig business staff. When he's not in class, Jesse spends his time roaming the city, watching foreign films, cooking French style cuisine, driving at license-revoking speeds, and beating Adela in scrabble.

VP of IT & Web Design

Liying Du

liyingdu@sas.upenn.edu

Liying is a junior in the College working on one major and three minors. She was first introduced to web design when she was a freshman in high school and it was "love at first sight." Besides spending time on her computer, she also enjoys photography, people-watching, and goofing around with friends. She is originally from Beijing, China--the greatest city in the world (at least in her own silly little mind). Admittedly, she has a weakness for Chinese snacks.

VP of Graphic Design

Sarah Hellman

hellman@wharton.upenn.edu

Sarah, Class of 2010, is concentrating in Marketing and Finance, but only because the demand for superheroes is quite low at the moment. This Israeli-New Jersey native enjoys the Food Network, Scrubs, and really thick, snuggly socks in her free time (she enjoys socks in her busy time as well). In addition to MUSE, she is very involved in Delta Sigma Pi. She also knows practically all of the film
Mean Girls by heart. Seriously.

Secretary

Daphne Calderon-Sitiriche

daph@wharton.upenn.edu

Daphne, class of 2010, comes from the sunny island of Puerto Rico and is studying Marketing and Retailing at Wharton. She misses the weather and, most of all, the beach. She will randomly talk in Spanish, forgetting that not everyone around will understand her. She has to practice her French before she completely forgets it and is looking forward to learning Portuguese soon. She can’t really cook, but will gladly order food for her guests. Along with her roommates, she has a small obsession with brie and feta and will randomly sit around for hours watching reruns of America’s Next Top Model. She loves shopping, listening to music, going out to brunch and dinner, and just hanging out with friends. She’s addicted to Vogue, Elle, Nylon, fashionista.com, and coffee. Her goals are to learn to play Guitar Hero in expert, even though she can’t get past easy at the moment, and to someday own her own boutique. When she’s not complaining about the dramatic temperature changes she keeps busy with MUSE, MARC, Penn Fashion Week, and the Wharton Retail Club. She also takes time to party with PRUSA and Wharton Latino.

Treasurer

Aiwen Xu

axu@sas.upenn.edu

Aiwen, Class of 2009, is from Toronto, Canada and is an Economics major in the College. Aiwen loves rice pudding, sleep, watermelon and haggling / bartering ... especially in China. Apart from her role as treasurer she also enjoys volunteering and traveling to other countries such as Honduras and China.
