You have NEVER paid membership dues for MUSE.

Complete the following four steps to become an active member of MUSE. Please read the instructions carefully to ensure proper registration. Contact tech [at] musepenn.org if you have any questions about joining MUSE.

  1. Step 1: Register for AMA Membership Online

    MUSE is an award-winning collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). All members of MUSE must become members of the AMA, which has a membership fee of $45 that must be renewed every 12 months. MUSE does not charge any additional chapter fees. The $45 membership fee goes directly to the AMA.

    • Click here to begin the AMA membership registration process. Note: You DO NOT need to download any paper or PDF applications to complete your AMA membership registration.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click YES. Note: College students do not qualify for the gifts listed at the top of the page.

    • Enter your e-mail to verify that you do not already have an AMA membership. Click VERIFY. If your e-mail is already in their system, then you have paid membership dues for MUSE in the past. You should return to the JOIN MUSE page and click I HAVE PAID MEMBERSHIP DUES FOR MUSE BEFORE.


    • Click link for student rates.


    • Select COLLEGE STUDENT. Select UNITED STATES. Select AMERICAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION MEMBER. IMPORTANT: DO NOT select MarketingPower.com (website) Registrant Only. MUSE does not charge any additional chapter fees. The $45 membership fee goes directly to the AMA. Click NEXT.


    • Provide your account information. Only check INCLUDE ME IN THE AMA MEMBER DIRECTORY if you wish to be included in the AMA member directory. Note that if you uncheck this option (i.e. you DO NOT want to be included in the AMA member directory), the later option DO NOT PUBLISH MY CONTACT INFORMATION IN ANY AMA PUBLICATIONS becomes disabled and cannot be checked or unchecked. Click NEXT.

    • Continue providing your account information. You can decide if you wish to receive AMA newsletters, updates, and non-Association mail. Select NO when asked WILL YOUR AMA MEMBERSHIP DUES BE PAID BY YOUR COMPANY?. Click NEXT.

    • IMPORTANT: DO NOT check any boxes on the SUBSCRIPTIONS page unless you are willing to pay $30 for each additional publication. MUSE will not be responsible for any additional unwanted charges you incur due to subscriptions. Click NEXT.

    • IMPORTANT: DO NOT check any boxes on the COMMUNITY GROUPS page unless you are willing to pay $20 for each additional SIG membership. MUSE will not be responsible for any additional unwanted charges you incur due to SIG memberships.

    • Under COLLEGIATE CHAPTER, select PENNSYLVANIA. Click GO. A list of schools with appear. Select UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA. Do not select any ADDITIONAL CHAPTERS. Click NEXT.

    • Review your PAYMENT TOTAL. Enter your payment information. Click SUBMIT.



    • You will be redirected to the MEMBERSHIP CONFIRMATION page. This page includes your confirmation #. Write this number down for future reference. You should receive two e-mails shortly from the AMA confirming the completion of your membership registration process.
  2. Step 2: Submit AMA Receipt to MUSE

    After completing Step 1, you will receive a receipt e-mail from the AMA. Please forward only the receipt e-mail to tech [at] musepenn.org to confirm membership. IMPORTANT: Without this receipt, you will not be considered a member of MUSE. You will receive an e-mail from MUSE confirming membership once Step 2 has been completed.

  3. Step 3: Apply for Open Positions

    MUSE offers many professional development opportunities for its members. Take advantage of these opportunities by applying for a case competition team! Click here to learn more. Applications for committees and MUSE Consulting are now open and are due on January 22 and 29 respectively.
